Happy Tuesday my friends! Today I wanted to switch things up a bit and give you guys a look into what a daily workout of mine looks like. Today was a push day baby(chest and shoulders). .. Now let’s get into the workout! .. As I said above, today was a push day with mainly chest focus. Meaning, a majority of my lifts were geared towards building the chest, while mixing in a few shoulder movements. As of late I’ve been doing two push days a week with one being chest focused(today) and Shoulder focus(later in the week). .. Exercise Guide(video is sped up): .. 1️⃣ DB Bench Press(Heavy Compound) - 4x6 reps(90lbs). .. 2️⃣ DB Slight Incline Press(TUT Compound) - 4x8 reps(3-4 sec eccentric focus). .. 3️⃣ DB Lateral Raise(iso) - 4x10 reps. .. Superset 4-5 4️⃣ Pronated Cable Chest Fly(TUT iso) - 3x12(2-3 sec eccentric focus). 5️⃣ Incline Plate Press(iso) - 3x15-20 reps. .. 6️⃣ Alt DB Front Raise(iso) - 4x10 reps. .. For exercises 1 & 2 I rested 2-2 1/2 min between sets. Exercises 3 & 6 I rested 90 sec between sets. And the superset(exercises 4-5) I rested 60 sec between each set. .. As of late I’ve been lifting 6 days a week, with two push(chest/shoulders), two Pull( Back/Arms), and two Legs(1 quad focused and 1 hamstring with both days hitting glutes). .. 'Night Sky' leggings contrasted by a Miami sunshiny day ️

Had to share this since I was just setting my alarm for the gym tomorrow ..... I remember just a few months ago I was up super early with Aubriella (my youngest) who was teething and refused to sleep and I text my brother about something and to my surprise he answered back and when I asked him what he was doing up so early he said because his wife (my sister in law) gets up at 4 to go to her spin class and I remember saying something to the extent of “she’s crazy” because everyone knows sleep Is the single most valued thing as a mother. I use to stay up til at least midnight or later just to get a couple hours of uninterrupted kid free mommy time. I’d usually wake up tired and cranky because the kids were up before me but to me it seemed worth it to stay up late to catch up on reading, social media, and catching up with the outside world in general. Well, I found something even more important to me then mommy time. When you are so driven, motivated, and dedicated to something you begin to prioritize the rest of your life. And it’s been so worth it. I have more energy throughout the day to do more things with the kids and I don’t need the kid free time as much as i thought I did. Turned out, exercise was more important for my mental well being then a couple hours of peace and quiet. And as a bonus, my gym time is also my kid free time now. Except I’m using that time for something so much more valuable. Never say never. My #mancrushmonday goes out to this hunk right here!! He's so funny, so creative, so smart, and so strong! He's 7 weeks out from his first show- the #patsampsonshowdown and amidst it all is working one week a month in another state, finishing his residency, and prioritizing his family. He's always prioritized his health and fitness throughout dental school and orthodontic residency, but it's incredible to see him take his physique and athleticism to a new level! What's something you've wanted to accomplish, but were "waiting for the right time..."?? ⌚ don't wait. Start something today...TONIGHT! that will start you on that goal. We are incredible people as human beings and capable of so much good! (Video is sped up...you weight lifting should be much slower to get a good pump!!).

You need to accept yourself.” -Thich Nhat Hanh - Ever since I could remember, I have always scrutinized my body in front of the mirror. My idea of perfectionism consumed my mind. I never felt pretty enough, girly enough, or fit enough. I always felt that I had so much to work on in order to feel good about myself physically. Growing up I was the biggest tomboy, always into sports and always hung out with the guys. I never really fit in anywhere else. With this came nothing girly, I never wore anything cute (unless my mom made me ) I definitely couldn’t stand wearing bathing suits; especially bikinis, because I had a bigger chest and no top would ever fit me appropriately. Especially at the age of 12, I would continuously cover up and hide my body as much as I could on the beach, I probably looked a little chaotic looking back now. 🤔 I couldn’t stand attention brought on by what I wore, so baggy t-shirts and athletic shorts was my go-to. I was constantly scared of judgment and what others would think of me, even though I was the one creating these assumptions in my mind. - Even in this photo, which was about a year ago, I had the hardest time being in a sports bra and leggings, especially in the gym. In public? You want me to do what?… But why? I worked hard for this body. Am I perfect? Heck no…but I still felt strong, powerful, and beautiful. Who cares what others think, as long as I love who I am. It’s all mental, that belief of having that “perfect body” that consumes our minds on a daily basis, it doesn’t exist. Your body is the perfect body. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Start embracing who you are and how beautiful you are. It can be a huge mental struggle every day, but focus on being the best and healthiest version of you. Even if you have health and body goals you want to work on, be happy with who you are at this time, in this moment. Loving yourself is the most important relationship you’ll have during your lifetime. Self-love brings true healing and sets you free. It allows you to take control of your mind and your life .
