part of lunch earlier I just wanted to say, that I don’t post everything I eat so although this may not seem like a lot, a) it is only part and b) I make my cals up with lots of other bits and pieces throughout the day so don’t worry loves I am eating enough/what is on my meal plan atm. Obviously it does still need to increase but I promise I AM working on it, but it can’t just happen overnight.I hope you have all made this Tuesday as good as it can be, I’m off to camhs in a few mins ugh

was casually scrolling thru and insta-stalking some of my biggest girl crushes the other day and what @megmo7 was talking about really struck a chord with me...the whole idea of getting over that scary idea of just not giving a about what other people think. . . she was referring to in the gym, not being self conscious and letting your own inner monologue hinder your performance but I related to it on another level too. I’ve come far AF from the girl on the left ‍️ I was terribly self conscious, a people pleaser and had horrible body image issues. not to mention my health suffered, anxiety was thru the roof and my need to control everything caused me so much stress, migraines, you name it. fast forward a year and a half later and I’m a whole new woman . . I hold my head a little higher. I am working on letting go of negativity and surrounding myself with people who uplift and support me. I feel incredibly blessed to have an amazing husband-to-be, @mikecollopy , who listens to my rambles, patiently takes all my progress photos and simply loves me for me. and for the incredible team of supporters I’ve been lucky to build up around me, like the familiar @centervillefitness faces who cheer me on at 6am to badass chicks like @fitlinz_727 and @lizmcelaney who have already offered so much insight and encouragement. even my nana, who all the way from FL on day 1 told me this was my time, I’m one lucky girl . . I still have a LOOOONG way to go and constantly remind myself how new I am at this, but that’s what I got the genius @seeyoulaterleaner for ...if you do one thing today, make sure it’s patting yourself on the back for every obstacle you’ve overcome, every dead end you stripped away and every time you chose yourself over whatever else the easier option was. #transformationtuesday

I raised my squat by 10lbs today just to gauge where I’m at with my back and the weight moved without issue. I’m still going to be taking it slow.. working on reps over weight until I feel totally secure but I am feeling pretty positive. I’ve changed up my schedule to incorporate two squat days a week and I’m pretty stokedddd. ️BACK/BI UPPER BODY SLAY️ . These are some of my fave dumbbell and barbell moves for the upper body muscle groups! While it is hands down advantageous to utilize both machines AND free weights in your training as both have benefits, I find lifting free weights more challenging because stabilization and core strength come massively into play more so than with machines. This means you probably won’t be able to lift as heavy as you would performing a similar exercise on a machine, but it also means you’re getting an ab workout while you’re at it, which you know I L O V E . Unilateral Bent Over Dumbell Row Pull-Ups (not shown here) Bilateral Bent Over Dumbell Rows Standing Barbell Bicep Curls (triple set with) Alternating Bicep Curls Bilateral Standing Hammer Curls . To make this into a full upper body session perform 4 drop sets of 8,8,6,6 reps of each, resting 1 min between sets (minus the triple set where you go directly from one move to the next & rest after all three are complete.️

Please read: 1098 days ago I made a decision that changed my life. Many may think that I am talking about turning physical health around. Yes I am physically healthier than I was then, but how I look is a very small part of the entirety of my life. At the time I decided to start working out because I was beyond depressed, struggling with years of an eating disorder, and completely lost with where my life was going. I thought that if I was smaller, maybe people would like me more and I could make friends at the next college I tried. Maybe I would like me more. And I started this insta to make sure I didn’t fail. ~ Here I am 3 years and 2 days later. I’ve lost 20lbs, gained back about 5, lost over 15, gained back almost 30, and then lost around 15. The connections with people I have made have not matched up with the times I was smallest. The relationships I have had have not matched up with when I was smallest. The times I have been least depressed have not matched up with the times I was smallest. ~ The past 3 years have been much more about a journey to find myself. Having few friends and no real community at school, online, or at home, the caption box on instagram has been a space for me to express how I feel to someone other than myself. This instagram has been a place for me to grow, heal, and share. The times I have been most vulnerable people have reached out, sharing their stories or simply thanking me for reminding them they’re not alone. So I kept sharing, and that act plus hearing from people has helped me keep going and keep striving to better myself. ~ It is still a daily struggle for me every day, and many of the demons from 3 years ago are still here. But I know I’m finally taking on the right roadblocks, focusing on the areas that truly need work. ~ If you take anything from this post it is this: You need to face your entire life to truly change your life. 1
