We’re so proud of our friends at @kaedama915 , and super excited for all that’s happening in the local food scene! Go check these guys out and grab some tasty ramen! #eatlocal || #repost @kaedama915 with @get_repost ・・・ When we first started our move from the bus to the restaurant we were told by our customers that they would miss standing in line and meeting new people. Lucky for you, we still have mad lines and great people standing in them! Look at this amazing group from yesterday, braving the cold for 30 minutes to get a hot bowl of ramen. We wondered how good our bowls are and this line says it all. I mean, how often are you willing (or do you get to) stand in line in 30 degree weather? ️ Did you know that standing in line can be make food test better? That’s a fact that I just made up. Come see us! 🥟 #babyitscoldoutside #ramenislife #kaedama #umami #veganfriendly #vegetarian #itsallgoodep #eptx

Today we’re featuring the final piece from our first meal at #juku , and no it’s not a #bouquet of flowers. This week’s #wbw is a #toro #handroll topped with edible flowers. The toro was counterbalanced nicely by the tartness of the #takuan or pickled daikon radish. Enjoy!

Wondering what dulse seaweed tastes like and how to use it? Dulse has a unique umami flavour – the fifth flavour. It’s savoury and not at all what you might expect of seaweed. It can be added to virtually anything. Take salad for example. The dry leaves can even be pan-fried into a bacon-like substitute. Try it and see what you think!⠀
