Check out this great post from @mandyhuser the track to this peak is essentially a 4x4 dirt road with the most switchbacks i’ve ever seen. you follow the steep twists and turns for a few hours, walking by the occasional cow and heaps of sheep. we lost willpower quickly. the sun was strong and we slept in the car the night before and i think i snagged about an hour with my eyes fully closed. when we made it to the peak a girl said “i thought i had a wicked tan but i think it’s just dirt” and i looked at my legs and realized that is real life right now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ but the struggle is always worth it. so was the “shower” in lake wanaka right after. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #goplaces #dothings | a kind stranger at the peak Tag @beautiful.newzealand to be featured!

Check out this post from @tripatypical Since the time we wanted to go for a bike ride for a whole day, we were not disappointed ! The wind is so strong and incessant in Wellington that after 5 hours we were out of breath by pedaling against the wind, so yes we turned back to take a nap... But that did not prevent us to enjoy the southern suburb of Wellington by going for a walk across the mountain, in the residential area of the city which is on the edge of the beach. Very nice place we found on the way to the Red Rocks where a wild walk is available all along the sea. By the way, you can sleep in this lighthouse for $200 a night ! Tag @beautiful.newzealand to be featured!
